Today’s blind wine tasting video takes us to the beloved Tuscany region of central Italy. I think I need to do some side by side comparison tastings of Sangiovese and Nebbiolo as I have such a difficult time differentiating between the two. What are some of the key indicators you look for to separate them?
Wine Tasted:
Sight: Brick Red
Nose: Roses, earthiness, and a good sense of tartness.
Palate: Dark Cherry, tartness, cellar dust, and a good dose of acidity all add to this enjoyable Chianti classico. It also has, as expected, a high level of acidity which will lend itself to food, and overall smells and tastes very much like I expect an Italian wine to present itself.

Another blind Monday takes me to Italy, but do I get the grape and region right? And why on Earth did I stick my face under my shirt?
Hmmmmm. What could it be?
